PCs with preinstalled Ubuntu GNU/Linux in Europe
In 2007, I believe I was the first person to sell PCs and laptops with guaranteed Ubuntu GNU/Linux compatibility and with Ubuntu preinstalled. The project has grown quite a bit, from a hobby to a real and independent store. That’s why I’ve opened the Lincomp store in October 2008.
All of the store’s products, from graphics cards to media players and components, are Linux-compatible. The details about which distributions are supported etc. are usually also given.
Next to selling stuff, Lincomp works with the community, does testing and bug reporting for distributions and submits hardware compatibility information to Hardware4Linux.
